Meet Charlotte Sproul, a 1971 alumna who discovered her love of travel and experiencing different cultures as a student at Cal.
What are you doing now?
I have been working in the travel industry for the past 25 years and at Cal Discoveries Travel for the past 10 years. Cal Discoveries is the alumni travel program at the Cal Alumni Association which offers over 65 trips per year all over the globe. All the trips are “educational” and often feature a Cal professor or Cal graduate as a lecturer and all trips have either a Cal lecturer or Cal tour manager with the group.
What Cal Experience helped you?
Living in Aix-en-Provence, France with a family for a year fostered my love of travel and experiencing different cultures. I truly believe that if more people traveled internationally there would be a lot less conflict in the world.
What advice would you give current Cal students?
Take advantage of all that Cal has to offer from classes to volunteer opportunities to interaction with a multi-cultural campus offering unlimited extra-curricular activities.
What was your favorite spot on campus?
